This month, our Bell & Buxton Solicitors colleagues join us at our existing offices at New Oxford House, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing development in Sheffield.
The move follows the merger of our two firms in September 2025, when Sills & Betteridge incorporating Bell & Buxton was established. It brings colleagues together under one roof, strengthening collaboration and enhancing service delivery for clients across the region.
The team have relocated from Telegraph House on High Street to New Oxford House, Barker's Pool in the Heart of the City quarter. Located opposite Sheffield Town Hall, New Oxford House has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and provides a large, modern base for the combined team.
The merger created one of Sheffield’s most experienced and skilled legal teams, offering a comprehensive range of personal and commercial legal services. These include Family Law, Wills, Trusts & Probate, Residential Conveyancing, Personal Injury, Employment Law, Crime & Motoring Offences, Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Commercial.
Branch Manager and Head of Sheffield’s Wills, Trusts & Probate Team, Josh Fenton-Hawkes, formerly of Bell & Buxton, commented:
“Bell & Buxton Solicitors has been part of central Sheffield’s legal landscape for generations - and our time at the iconic Telegraph House has been a real privilege. However we are now looking ahead to the next phase of our journey following an extremely positive first eight months of the merger with Sills & Betteridge. Integrating the two teams will benefit our operations and our clients.”
Sheffield represents a key hub within Sills & Betteridge’s growing network, which includes five offices across Yorkshire and a further eleven locations throughout Lincolnshire and the wider East Midlands. We are fully committed to strengthening our regional presence by investing in our people and actively recruiting talented legal professionals. The firm welcomes interest from local professionals who may be considering new career opportunities.
