Family Law Specialist Joins Sills & Betteridge LLP

We have appointed Elaine Hissey to our multi award-winning Family Law team. A highly regarded Chartered Legal Executive (Litigator and Advocate), Elaine joins the firm's South Yorkshire team and will be primarily based at our Doncaster office.

Elaine advises on public law care proceedings, private child law and domestic abuse matters and brings with her a practice built on some of the most demanding work in family law.

Her experience spans children cases involving safeguarding concerns, parental disputes, allegations of domestic abuse and child arrangements. She is recognised for providing clear, compassionate and strategic advice to clients who are often navigating the hardest periods of their lives.

Elaine holds Resolution accreditation as a specialist in both private child law and domestic abuse, reflecting her expertise and her approach to casework - constructive, child-focused and non-confrontational.

She is also a member of the Law Society Children Panel, one of the most rigorous accreditations available to children lawyers. Panel membership qualifies Elaine to act for children through their Children’s Guardian in care and family proceedings.
