Members of the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence team recently spent the day at STEPS Rehabilitation in Sheffield.
STEPS is an award-winning purpose-built rehabilitation facility, providing residential support for people recovering from neurological injuries, amputations and complex trauma. The centre combines advanced rehabilitation technology with a multidisciplinary clinical approach, all delivered within a welcoming and supportive setting created to aid recovery and wellbeing.
Alison Hurton, Partner and Head of Claims at Sills & Betteridge, commented on the visit: “Visiting STEPS gave us a real insight into the exceptional level of care they provide. Ensuring our clients have access to high-quality rehabilitation is a crucial part of what we do, and seeing the facilities first-hand was incredibly valuable.”
Simon Breeden, Partner and Personal Injury Solicitor, also reflected on the experience: “We were struck by how individualised the rehabilitation programmes are, with treatment plans carefully adapted to each patient. The facilities are outstanding, from the hydrotherapy pool and fully equipped therapy gym to the specialist rehabilitation suite using innovative technologies such as virtual reality. What really stood out was the way clinical expertise is combined with a comfortable, home-from-home atmosphere. STEPS clearly recognise the importance of involving families in the recovery process, and it was great to see how embedded this is in their approach.”
