ROLE: Conveyancing Assistant

LOCATION: Scunthorpe

SALARY: Competitive and dependant on experience

HOURS: 09:00 - 17:15, Mondays - Fridays

ROLE: 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join our thriving Residential Property team at our Scunthorpe office. This is a fantastic opportunity to further your career in a supportive and collaborative environment, offering exposure to a wide variety of conveyancing matters. The department deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing which includes; freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and equity release, landlord purchases, shared ownership, and new builds.  

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • liaising with various stakeholders of the Firm, including clients, banks, building societies and estate agents
  • completing SDLT forms
  • opening client files using the Firm’s case management system
  • carrying out registrations and post completion duties
  • sending quotes and taking instructions from clients
  • preparing and dealing with completions, including document prep, accounts, letters, SDLTS and invoices 
  • drafting Contracts for sale files and dealing with the general day to day running of a sale file taking the matter up to exchange
  • reporting to clients on Mortgage offers
  • checking and raising enquiries in relation to searches and drafting and preparing search reports.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant  
  • proactive and client-focused approach
  • exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to handle multiple cases and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail 
  • high degree of IT literacy.
